How do I actually move?#

Export your clients first

A CSV out of Tradify, before you touch the subscription. Once it lapses, the timetable stops being yours.
Save the documents you need

PDF copies of quotes and invoices. They are records rather than live data, and your accountant wants the PDFs anyway.
Send us the CSV

We import it into your Chippie account free, usually the same day. No plan requirement, no charge.
Run both for a fortnight

Real jobs through Chippie while Tradify is still there. It is the only test that tells you anything.
Cancel Tradify

Through your account settings, once your data is out and the new one is working.

Leaving Tradify: your questions#

How do I cancel Tradify?

Through your Tradify account settings. Export your data first: once the subscription ends, getting it out is somebody else's timetable. Do the export, then cancel.

What can I take with me?

Your client list exports as a CSV, which is the part that matters. Quotes and invoices are best kept as PDFs for your records; they are documents rather than live data, and your accountant wants the PDFs anyway.

Will you move the data for me?

Yes, free. Send us the CSV and we import it into your Chippie account, usually the same day. There is no charge and no plan requirement.

What will I lose by moving?

Timesheets, purchase orders and the Plus-plan reporting. Chippie has none of them. If your week runs on any of those, stay where you are; we would rather say so now than after you have moved.

What does staying cost a crew?

Is there a lock-in period with Chippie?

No. Month to month, cancel whenever, and you can export your data on the way out. We would rather you leave cleanly than stay because leaving is hard.

Can I run both for a while?

Yes, and it is the sensible way to do it. Start Chippie on the free plan, run a fortnight of real jobs through it alongside Tradify, then cancel the one you are not using.

How long does the move take?

The import is usually same day. Set aside an hour to check your client list came across the way you expect, and to put your logo and payment details on an invoice template.
