Tradify pricing, and who it actually suits
Tradify bills per user on every plan. Chippie includes users in the plan. That one difference is most of the price gap, and it grows with your crew.

Two people on Tradify Pro is $104 a month ex GST. Two people on Chippie Pro is $25 a month, because the plan includes them both.
Both tools are cheap for one person and diverge fast after that, because only one of them charges by the head. The figures below are Tradify Pro at $52 per user per month ex GST, the middle plan and the one most small crews land on.

The gap is not a discount. It is the pricing model: a fourth person adds a fourth full fee on Tradify, and nothing on a Chippie plan that already includes four.

Read down the rows rather than across the columns. Most of them are a draw, which is the honest picture: these are two tools that both quote, schedule and invoice properly. The rows that differ are depth on one side and price on the other.
Which one works better on site?#
Platform support is a draw. Both run on Android and iPhone, both are fast enough to quote from the ute, and neither will stop you working because of the phone in your pocket.
When is Tradify the better choice?#
On three counts, and they are not small ones.
- You need timesheets today. Tradify has them from Pro. Chippie does not have them at all.
- You need purchase orders or real reporting. Both sit on Tradify's Plus plan. Chippie has neither.
- Deep accounting sync is your top priority. Tradify syncs Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks and is well regarded for it; Chippie connects to Xero only.
Tradify has been trading since 2013 and its own pricing page cites 4.8 out of 5 from more than 9,000 ratings. It is a mature product with a real track record, and if the list above describes your business then the extra cost is buying you something.
When is Chippie the better choice?#
- You are solo or a small crew, and you mainly need quotes, jobs, invoices and GST.
- Per-user pricing stings: your offsider and whoever does the books should not each cost a full seat.
- You want to start on a free plan and stay on it under 20 jobs a month.
- You want something with no learning curve, because the last tool you paid for is still half set up.
